The Taste of Copper Pennies

Eddie liked lists. Lists were safe, they were neat and most of all they made perfect sense.
The real world was not so kind.
Eddie Armitage had never been an imposing figure, nor a particularly noticeable presence. He was ridiculed for being a bookworm, half-moon glasses rested on his nose giving him a beaky look.
The taste of copper pennies in his mouth accompanied by the jaw ache Riley had given with a swift right hook to the chin. This was not on his list for today.

About Author
Esca Bowmer hails from the south of England. An area of the country where they talk like the queen, rap you on the knuckles for holding your cutlery in the wrong hand and like to break out the acoustic guitars when they’ve had a few. Esca has a silver tongue – the gift of the gab – but unfortunately novels are written with pens or keyboards, not tongues (unless you’re lucky enough to have someone to dictate to). So the process of actually getting the words down is a rather long one.
